WA Maritime Museum in Fremantle has taken the notion of museums being musty old buildings full of old stuff and turned it on its head. It’s exciting, interactive and will keep you enthralled whatever age you are.

• Megamouth is one of the world’s most rare sharks – less than sixty have ever been recorded. We’ve got one on a permanent display right here in WA.
  
  
• Megamouth washed up on shore at Mandurah back in 1988 and for many years, was preserved and displayed in a tank of ethanol at the WA Museum in Perth.
  
  
• In 2010, it was time to move house to the tailormade tank at the WA Maritime Museum.
