Experience the flavours of the Kimberley, as Chrissy goes to The Hoochery, a quirky little distillery just outside of Kununurra.

• The Hoochery is Western Australia’s oldest, continuously running legal distillery, owned by colourful cowboy Raymond ‘Spike’ Dessert III.
• Started in the 90s, the Hoochery brews rum, inspired by the flavours of the outback, including the sugar cane that was grown in Kununurra.
• The Hoochery made its first batch of rum in 1999 and has been winning awards ever since, including 4 gold medals in a row.
• Every day at 11am and 2pm you can join the Hoochery tour to learn about the history and have a taste of all the rum 
• If drinking spirits neat is not your cup of tea, The Hoochery offers freshly baked cakes which still allow you to sample the award-winning spirits that make the place famous.
• If that’s still not enough to tempt you, you can enjoy a freshly prepared lunch here after learning about the distillery’s rich history on one of its daily tours.
