Trevor explores Kings Park Botanic Gardens and chats to the director of the Botanic Garden, Sue McDougall about the upcoming Lightscape exhibition.
- Sue McDougall is the director of the WA Botanic Garden, overseeing Kings Park’s 18 hectares of unique flora.
- Kings Park is widely considered one of the top 3 botanic gardens in the world, showcasing the diversity of WA’s plants.
- The Kings Park Light Exhibition “Lightscape” will start mid-June and go for 6 weeks until the end of July.
- Lightscape will activate the park at night in Winter by highlighting the park’s iconic trees and plants, including the impressive tuart trees which will be lit up with a kaleidoscope of colour.
- Some of the amazing features of Lightscape will include 9 neon trees and giant water lilies on the pond.
- The event centres on the story of the conservation of seeds and the ground-breaking seed science happening at Kings Park.
