- The City of Perth will host Boorloo Heritage Festival for the month of April 2023.
- Boorloo is the Whadjuk Noongar name for the area known as Perth and the City of Perth recognises the Whadjuk Noongar peoples as the traditional owners of the land.
- Boorloo Heritage Festival celebrates the city's unique natural, built, and cultural heritage. It aims to celebrate our rich cultural diversity and inspire a sense of pride and belonging to a shared cultural heritage.
- Boorloo Heritage Festival has been going for 13 years. This is the first year of the new format of a month-long series of activities and events.
- There are over 70 groups / organisations participating, with well over 100 events taking place over Heritage month.
- The festival takes place across the CBD, Northbridge, East Perth, Claisebrook, West Perth and Kings Park.
- From heritage walks to interactive workshops, Boorloo Heritage Festival continues to beam with a plethora of experiences available through-out the month.
- Belinda Cox from Djirrily Dreaming will be doing dance and bush medicine workshops at Kings Park during the Boorloo Heritage Festival.
- Nel Simpson directs youth group Circus WA who will be performing their show "Ugly Land" in the Victoria Gardens as part of the Boorloo Heritage Festival.
