Offering the best view of the Porongurup National Park, the Granite Skywalk is a destination you have to check out while visiting the Amazing South Coast.

• The Granite Skywalk lies on top of Castle Rock thanks to the ingenuity and determination of a group of designers, engineers and builders. The riggers abseiled into work each day, and the walk was lowered by helicopters.
• There are no age restrictions on this walk – as long as you’re agile and can use your arms to pull yourself over and under boulders, you’ll be fine.
• The walk itself takes around 2 hours – be sure to wear sensible shoes with a decent grip. The paths are well maintained and signed, steep but not overly taxing.
• The walk is different depending on the time of year you make the climb, with Karri, Marri and Yate forests surrounding you on the walk.
• The 6-metre tall Balancing Rock is a marvel in itself – no matter how hard you push, it won’t budge.
• The last hurdle, a 7-metre latter climb, is where some people start to panic, though you don’t have to worry – thousands of tourists have completed the climb safely, and you’ll kick yourself if you don’t give it a shot.
• Be sure to bring a jacket, as well as plenty of water.
