This is a family friendly fishing event traditionally held in McCallum Park on the bank of the Swan River in Victoria Park. All levels of fisherman are welcome and prizes will be given out throughout the day some of which you don’t have to even catch a fish to win.

- The Swan Canning Riverpark covers 72.1 square kilometres of river reserve and adjoining public lands, it has been sustaining life for more than 40 thousand years.
- Significant sites to the Noongar people on the Swan and Canning rivers include spiritual sites, camping grounds, burial sites, historical locations, mythological and sacred sites and ceremonial sites. The aboriginal names for the Swan River and Canning River are DerbalYerrigan and Djarlgarra/Dyarlgarro respectively.

- Be sure to abide the rules when fishing on the Swan, there are some harsh penalties for fishing in a private area and even on the spot fines for digging up bait in a protected area. Alternatively you can report illegal fishing activities to FishWatch on 1800 815 507.
