Chrissy heads up to Kalgoorlie Boulder – the town with a reputation as a “thirsty place”.

• Hidden away in the Boulder industrial area is a shed devoted to the creation of liquid gold. “Off the beaten track brewery” is using the slow food ethos and traditional brewing methods to create a range of beers that are Goldfields to the core.
• This place rethinks the idea of beer in the outback, using seasonal ingredients like fresh yeast and honey from local bees.
• There is nothing artificial going into these but it does mean that, unlike modern beers, it has a shelf life.
