Tod travels 20 metres under Fremantle Prison, where a labyrinth of tunnels spread out under Fremantle.

Fremantle Prison is the largest and most intact convict built prison in Australia, and is also Western Australia’s only World Heritage listed building.
In 1888, the convicts were ordered to dig beneath the prison, connecting a series of tunnels or horizontal drives 20 metres underground to provide a source of fresh water to the community and town of Fremantle.
The experience involves climbing down and back up a 20 metre ladder, then walking through tunnels approximately 2 metres wide and as low as 1.5 metres high, and finally; exploring submerged passageways via boat.
The minimum age of entry is 12 years; an adult must accompany children between 12 and 15. Participants must be physically fit and able, it also not recommended that you participate on the tour if you’re an expectant mother or recovering from a medical procedure.
