Esperance Escapades

Story: Esperance Escapades
Episode: 7
Presenter: Trevor Cochrane
Air Date: 24th March 2024

Trevor takes an overnight trip to Esperance and experiences its enchantment.

  • Trevor flies with Legendaire in one of their fanciest, air-conditioned aircrafts, equipped with nose-reducing propellers, worktables, and a mini bar.
  • Legendaire flies above the beautiful parts of WA in their luxurious twin-engine Piper and Cessna 210, collaborating with their partners to source larger or smaller planes to suit client needs.
  • A mere 2-hour flight, compared to an 8-hour drive, makes Esperance a viable weekend destination as it boasts some of Australia's best beaches, with autumn being the prime time of the year.
  • Esperance Village Chalets offer a re-imagined, refreshing holiday experience with old-school charm; located on the edge of Brandy Creek, overlooking a stunning natural environment.
  • The village provides a carefully curated experience with various styles of accommodation including shacks, chalets, and cabins. Brandy Creek was specifically chosen for its quiet and comforting position amidst native gardens, offering opportunities for fishing, trail riding, or kayaking.
  • On the waterfront in the heart of Esperance lies the famous Taylor Street Quarter, where visitors can enjoy brunch, lunch, or dinner while overlooking the bay.
  • Trevor introduces the general manager, Sofia, who shares that it was originally the Wellard hospital south of Perth, dismantled and relocated to its current location on the shores of Esperance Bay in the 1980s, becoming the beloved Tearoom.
