    • Exploring the World – Defining Western Australia's place in the broader global context.
  • The museum features several permanent exhibitions, including:
    • Ngalang Koort Boodja Wirn (Our heart, Country, spirit) in the Wesfarmers Gallery.
    • Innovations (Creative minds, amazing ideas) in the Rio Tinto Gallery.
    • WA Treasures (Highlights from the State’s collections) in the Stan Perron Gallery.
    • Reflections (Our people, our stories).
    • Changes (Transforming landscapes).
    • Origins (Land, water, sky).
    • Wildlife (Discover nature's diversity).
    • Connections (Our place in the world) in the Tianqi Lithium Gallery.
  • All exhibitions integrate the voices and perspectives of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, acknowledging their primary rights in practising and expressing their cultural heritage.
  • The museum's digital public art program features three new Aboriginal digital artworks for 2025, displayed on the Hackett Hall and Francis Street façades throughout the year.
  • The museum offers an extraordinary immersive experience with the Illuminate night projections, highlighting stunning visual displays that bring the museum's exterior to life.
  • In partnership with the Design Institute of Australia, the museum presents the "Designers and Makers: Making Ideas" exhibition, uncovering the iterative process behind design and innovation.
