It has been notoriously difficult for new bands to get on stage here, in Perth, but thankfully things are changing.
- The Oddfellow is a small bar beneath the Norfolk Hotel in Fremantle and it was previously known as the Norfolk basement, now it’s one of those exciting small bars.
- For a while, the live music scene was at a decline in Perth but all of these new Small Bars opening up have been creating a lot of opportunities for these bands to connect with their fans in a more intimate setting.
- Small Bar Venues have been really important for live music bands, musicians are able to play their music there, they can meet other bands and it holds a very social atmosphere for both the bands and anyone visiting.
- Mister and Sunbird are bursting to release this new record – the Perth launch will take place at The Oddfellow in Fremantle on November 29th, after warming up with their first appearance at the Bridgetown Blues Festival, November 7-9. Trips back to Europe, around Oz and hopefully to Japan beckon in 2015.
