After snorkeling the Ningaloo Reef, Caty gets ready to swim with the awe-inspiring whale shark.
- Ningaloo Reef is the only place in Australia where you can swim with the Whale Sharks. It is also one of the few places in the world in the world where Whale Sharks appear regularly in numbers.
- A fully-grown whale shark can reach up to 18 metres long in length. Whale sharks encountered in Ningaloo Reef are commonly found between 4-12 metres long.
- Whale sharks are docile and do not pose significant danger to humans, younger whale sharks are gentle and are known to play with divers.
- A whale shark can live up to around 70 years.
