Episode: 5
Presenter: Zosha Stelmach
Air Date: 2nd April 2023

Zosha and her friends Pandora, Harlan and Saxon explore all the exciting cultural experiences Perth has to offer.

  • During school holidays, it can be a challenge to keep children entertained. To assist with this, the City of Perth has partnered with an organization to offer a variety of events and activities that will encourage children to be active and step away from electronic devices.
  • Families looking for fun experiences during and beyond the holidays can choose from a range of options, such as exploring interesting sculpture walks, visiting museums, and discovering relic fire trucks.
  • One recommended activity is a visit to the DFES Education and Heritage Centre, where families can learn about natural hazards and emergency preparedness through hands-on exhibits and interactive displays.
  • The City of Perth Library is another great option for free activities that will keep children entertained.
  • The library's Children's Floor is specifically designed for ages zero to 11 years, and includes a Tree of Knowledge outdoor play area, dedicated presentation spaces, and plenty of comfortable spots for reading.
  • For families who enjoy art and sculpture, a walk to the WA Museum Boola Bardip can be a fun and engaging activity.
  • The City of Perth has provided a list of suggested sculptures and artworks to see on the way, including The Mob kangaroos on St Georges Tce, the Big Cactus in Forrest Place, and Wirrin at Yagan Square.
