- 44 career winning trainer, Mick Ball knows what it takes to train a champion, having past generations of uncles and grandfathers as jockey’s and Mick has carried on the tradition.
- The yellow and green silks have a special meaning, Mick’s mother designed them, the green spots representing each member of the family.
- The horses at Mick’s stables have the best of care, with exercise, and breaks out to the big grassy paddock after their races season.
- In the Pilbara, the racing season runs between May and August, which is in the region’s cooler months.
- The thoroughbred horses are considered quite special, as their trainability and athleticism are second to none.
