Imagine a place with four major river systems running though it’s land, cascading over some of the most recognizable escarpments in the country. What is this place of such beauty? I’m sure you know already, it’s El Questro… an outback oasis in our magnificent Kimberley.
Beautiful El Questro
- El Questro Wilderness Park is located near Kununurra, just 110 kilometres west by road, 58 kilometres on the sealed Great Northern Highway towards Wyndham, with the remainder on the Gibb River Road - regarded as one of the great Australian 4WD adventures.
- El Questro is a one million acre wilderness park in the heart of the Kimberley. The Wilderness Park boasts a wide range of things to do from fishing for barramundito four wheel driving or taking a scenic helicopter flight through canyons and gorges.
- The Kimberley is 1.7 times the size of the UK. The rugged landscapes are home to some of our most unique native flora and fauna, considered one of Australia’s last frontiers.
- El Questro Wilderness Park is open from April – 31 October each year. For more information about the area contact the Kununurra Visitor Centre on 08 9168 1177.
