One of the most fun times of the year in Perth is during the Fringeworld festival, which runs from January to February. Matt Hale takes us for a tour around and explains why he loves this event so much.

• As a comedy hypnotist with 34 shows coming up, this will be Matt’s home for a month. He is amongst over 700 other acts from all over the globe in what is now the 3rd biggest Fringe fest in the world.
• There are shows for everyone: comedy, burlesque, music, magic, hypnosis… there’s plenty of picturesque characters and even mermaids!
• Festival Director Amber Hasler says that last year over 800.000 free and ticketed attendants visited the event. The special thing about the Fringeworld is that the city comes alive with new venues and special places for people to enjoy the summer nights.
