Rottnest Island really is one of our best-kept secrets; our very own island paradise just a short ferry ride from Perth. Trevor shows you the restoration program in charge maintaining its pristine condition.

• Trevor speaks with Nick Wilson, who tells of the plant species being grown in a nursery on the island, which ensure the control of erosion.
• They grow anywhere from 15 to 30 different species, depending on the area that needs help.
• The island also has a big focus on green energy, having a wind turbine that produces approximately 30% of the total power needs.
• In 2017, the addition of a 600KW solar farm will further reduce the strain on the island’s environment.
