Lee Steele visits the Edward Millen Home in Victoria Park, where it will be hosting the inaugural John Hughes Slopestyle.

  • The John Hughes Slopestyle festival is on Sunday, 26 April 2015 from 12noon at the corner Hillview Cr and Albany Highway in the Town of Victoria Park.
  • The John Hughes Slopestyle is a festival that will include an urban downhill race, BMX jump jam, MTB slopestyle jam, TGIF Hawkers Markets, children’s cycling clinics, BMX stunt show, Red Bull DJ and more! With a tailor made course assembled by 3 Chillies Trail Design and Construction and over $3,000 in cold hard cash up for grabs for competing elite riders.
  • The John Hughes Slopestyle is the first of its kind in metro Perth and made possible by the Town of Victoria Park, major sponsor John Hughes and key partners Albany Urban Downhill and Crown.  It provides a great spectating opportunity to witness Western Australia top riders in action competing against high profile interstate and international riders.
  • The Town of Victoria Park is vibrant and diverse -just 4km from the Perth CBD. We have great cafés, restaurants, unique retail stores and what is believed to be the longest uninterrupted strip of free WiFi in the Country. Experience #lifeinthepark
  • The winner of the John Hughes Slopestyle will go on to compete in the Albany Urban Downhill in May 2015
