Nikki spends a family-friendly afternoon in Armadale.
- Just a short 40-minute drive from the Perth CBD there is something for everyone in the Perth Hills, from scenic walks at Roley Pools Reserve Walk Trails, to catching a show at the Roleystone Theatre.
- Explore the history filled Djarlgaroo (Canning River), tracing its routes back to the Whadjuk Noongar people who navigated these waters to access seasonal food sources, such as ducks, kingfishers, snakes and Australia’s only native water rat, “Rakali.”
- There are 3 main trails you can walk along on the Roley Pools Reserve Walk Trails ranging in length and difficulty to suit all walking ability. Roley Pools, in particular, has relics of the historic diving board and changerooms once used before the construction of the Canning Dam.
- Onlooking the Roleystone Valley you can have dinner surrounded by nature at the family-owned restaurant, Seven Sins. Offering unique food options that incorporates flavours from around the world.
- The Royleystone Theatre, originally built in 1933, is a cultural hub showcasing local performances and events. Immerse yourself in the newly renovated art space, aiming to have four-five shows per year, covering a wide variety of performance types.
