- This step of culturing pearls is always the most exciting part, despite all efforts only mother nature can determine how large and perfect the pearl will be.
- Once the oysters are collected from the depths they are placed in a heated room, making the opening of the shell easier.
- The harvesting of the pearls does not put an end to the oyster’s life but is a important step into the next phase so they must be handled with care.
- The Don pearl was the biggest pearl ever harvested at Willie Creek Pearls, which was harvested in front of lucky group of tour guests!
