Episode: 2

Air Date: 21st August 2022
These sorts of experiences are usually reserved for the types of celebrities and sports stars, but you can do it too!
- VERTIGO – is the newest rooftop attraction at THE OZONE at Optus Stadium. The attraction opened to the public on 31 March 2022.
- The 90 minute experience includes stepping off the roof of Optus Stadium, harnessed from above with no handrails. You can walk, bounce or skip your way across, and if you are brave enough, dare to look down over the seats and field of play.
- Included in this experience, is access to the new Western Viewing Deck, where you’ll take in the sights of Swan River, the Matagarup Bridge and incredible views of Perth City. The deck also stretches out over the side of Optus Stadium, giving uninterrupted views of the city, with amazing sunsets!
- VERTIGO joins other tour attractions at Optus Stadium including HALO rooftop experience, Stadium Tours (behind the scenes access), Aboriginal Cultural Tours and Game Day Experience (watch a quarter of an AFL match from 42m above the field).
- VERTIGO is a fully accessible experience, with lift access taking you straight from Level 5 of the Stadium up onto the roof. Both VERTIGO and the Viewing Deck are accessible via wheelchair, making it an Australian first for experiences of its kind.
- The new attraction has been 2 years in planning, with construction taking 8 months. The new structure weighs 70 tonnes, was built off site in 15 modular sections and craned into place during an operational stadium and September’s three AFL finals, including the AFL Grand Final.
- There are 800 bolts connecting the deck and up to 50 people can be on the deck at one time.
- A number of celebrities, comedians and sports stars have already braved the VERTIGO experience, and you too can be some of the first to experience this new epic attraction at Optus Stadium.
