A true Kimberley and Kununurra experience would not be complete without chasing a few spectacular waterfalls, relaxing and swimming in the water holes.
- January to April are the best months to see the most breathtaking waterfalls and water holes, the East Kimberley has to offer.
- Molly Springs is a hidden gem located 30km along the highway between Kununurra and Wyndham. It’s a little spring-fed pool and waterfall with plenty of shade and birdlife.
- HOT Tours is based in Kununurra and operates all year round. This tour takes visitors to well-known and more secret spots. The locations will differ depending on the time of year.
- The journey to Spring Creek takes approximately 45min but it’s well worth it. Once at the destination, visitors can cool off and wallow in the lower pool under the waterfall.
- Black Rock Falls received its name because of its distinctive striking Black Rock cliff face and was used as the backdrop for ABC’s critically acclaimed television series Mystery Road.
- Middle Springs is a beautiful waterfall easily accessible by 4WD. It’s the perfect family destination for a swim and a picnic.
